VALTOS beach (+ how to stay fit in Parga!)

If you don't like Parga's main beaches, then your next choice is sandy and rather long Valtos beach! But there is a catch if you go on foot from the center- you have to be in physical condition (if not, after a few days of "walk from the center to Valtos beach" you'll be ready to run a marathon, lol)!:) In order to reach Valtos beach, which is located right from the port and the center of Parga, you need to "conquer" the hill (one way leads to The Castle): or you climb the stairs or you choose other streets, which are again uphill. Luckily the whole route is interesting because there are so many souvenir shops, bars, restaurants and taverns! And if you do not want to torture yourself, then just pay 4e for a return ticket, and some small boat will take you from the port to the beach and back! :)

Ako vam se gradske plaze Parge ne svidjaju, sledeci izbor je pescana i prilicno duga Valtos plaza! Ali postoji jedna zackoljica ako idete peske iz centra- morate biti u fizickoj kondiciji (ako niste, nakon nekoliko dana "hoda od centra do Valtos plaze" bicete spremni za maraton, haha)!:) Naime da biste dosli do Valtos plaze koja se nalazi desno od luke i centra Parge, potrebno je da savladate uzvisenje (jednim putem prolazite pored Tvrdjave): ili idete stepenicama ili drugim ulicicama koje su opet uzbrdo. Srecom citav put je interesantan jer postoje brojne prodavnice suvenira, kafici, restorani i taverne! A ako ne zelite da se mucite, lepo platite 4e povratnu kartu kako biste brodicem stigli iz luke do plaze i nazad!:)

What is a plus for Valtos beach, is not only its length, but also the fact that is organized and clean. Almost the entire beach is packed with sunbeds (and umbrellas) which belong to cafes and restaurants. On the right side of the beach is a small harbor with moored boats, and on your left you can see Kastro. The only "flaw" are fish in the water!:D

Ono sto je plus za Valtos plazu, je ne samo to sto plaza nije mala vec i to sto je organizovana i cista. Skoro citavom duzinom plaze su nacickane lezaljke (i suncobrani) koje pripadaju kaficima i restoranima. Sa desne strane plaze se nalazi mala luka sa usidrenim brodicima, a sa leve strane se pruza pogled na Kastro. Jedina "mana" jesu ribice u vodi!:D
