I wrote a lot about Paros island and our last year's vacation there, and I shared soooooo many photos here on the blog. But guess what- I found a few more pics that showcase breathtaking nature of this Cycladic island!
Pisala sam puno o Paros ostrvu i nasem proslogodisnjem odmoru tamo, i podelila sam puno punoooo slika!:) Ali "recite dragicka" (haha)- pronasla sam jos nekoliko fotografija koje savrseno prikazaju prirodu ovog kikladskog ostrva koja vas ostavlja bez daha!

If you don't like Parga's main beaches, then your next choice is sandy and rather long Valtos beach! But
there is a catch if you go on foot from the center- you have to be in
physical condition (if not, after a few days of "walk from the
center to Valtos beach" you'll be ready to run a marathon, lol)!:) In order to reach Valtos beach, which is located right from the port and the center of Parga, you need to "conquer" the hill (one way leads to The Castle): or you climb the stairs or you choose other streets, which are again uphill. Luckily the whole route is interesting because there are so many souvenir shops, bars, restaurants and taverns! And if you do not want to torture yourself, then just pay 4e for a return ticket, and some small boat will take you from the port to the beach and back! :)
Ako vam se gradske plaze Parge ne svidjaju, sledeci izbor je pescana i prilicno duga Valtos plaza! Ali postoji jedna zackoljica ako idete peske iz centra- morate biti u fizickoj kondiciji (ako niste, nakon nekoliko dana "hoda od centra do Valtos plaze" bicete spremni za maraton, haha)!:) Naime da biste dosli do Valtos plaze koja se nalazi desno od luke i centra Parge, potrebno je da savladate uzvisenje (jednim putem prolazite pored Tvrdjave): ili idete stepenicama ili drugim ulicicama koje su opet uzbrdo. Srecom citav put je interesantan jer postoje brojne prodavnice suvenira, kafici, restorani i taverne! A ako ne zelite da se mucite, lepo platite 4e povratnu kartu kako biste brodicem stigli iz luke do plaze i nazad!:)
Almost every resort in Greece has its own main, so-called, "city beach", which is usually smaller
than the other beaches nearby, and it's always located near the center of
the resort. Parga, for example, has two city beaches: Krioneri and Piso Krioneri. They
are positioned next to each other (better to say one after the other,
hence the word "piso", which in Greek means: behind/in the back), divided by a rocky cliff. Piso Krioneri
beach is even smaller than Krioneri beach, and both are always crowded. I spent 5min on both beaches just to take some photos, 'cause (to be honest) city beaches rarely
attract me...
Skoro svako letovaliste u Grckoj ima svoju glavnu tj. narodski receno "gradsku plazu", koja je obicno manja od ostalih plaza u blizini, i uvek je locirana u blizini centra tog letovalista. Parga recimo ima dve gradske plaze: Krioneri i Piso Krioneri. One su smestene jedna do druge (bolje reci jedna iza druge, otuda i rec "piso" sto na grckom znaci pozadi/iza), samo ih deli jedna stenovita litica. Piso Krioneri plaza je cak manja od Krioneri plaze, i obe su uvek krcate. Ja se ni na jednoj nisam okupala, (da budem iskrena) gradske plaze me vrlo retko privlace...
Parga... lovely coastal town, located in the bay of (for my taste always cold) Ionian Sea, reminds me more of some Italian romantic town than a typical Greek resort. Although the
center of Parga I visited three times so far, last week for the first time I
stayed in this cute seaside town longer than a few hours (or more
precisely only 48 hours)!:)
Parga... simpaticno primorsko mesto, koje se nalazi u zalivu (meni uvek hladnog) Jonskog mora, vise podseca na italijanske romanticne gradice nego na tipicno grcko letovaliste. Iako sam centar Parge posetila tri puta do sada, prosle nedelje sam po prvi put ostala u ovom slatkom primorskom gradicu duze od nekoliko sati (tacnije svega 48h)!:)
What is typical for Parga are the houses painted in lively colors and very hilly terrain
between the center and Valtos beach. Now that you can call the exercise:
every day (sometimes twice a day) to walk from the center to the
villa where my mum stayed which is (what a coincidence, lol)
just above Valtos beach!
Ono sto je tipicno za Pargu su nacickane kucice okrecene u zivahne boje i
izuzetno brdovit reljef izmedju centra i Valtos plaze. E to vam je
gimnastika: svaki dan (nekad i dva puta dnevno) ici peske od centra do
vile u kojoj je mama bila smestena a koja je (kakva slucajnost, haha)
odmah iznad Valtos plaze!
There are places you must visit when you are in Parga, and one of these locations is Kastro, in other words: The Castle of Parga! This Venetian fortress, which is so lovely illuminated at night, was built at the beginning of the 15th century. It's located
on the top of Parga, on the hill that offers magnificent view of the
whole town of Parga, the deep blue sea and the beach called Valtos. This fortress was the first "typical tourist attraction" I
saw the first day (and I stayed only two days in Parga, lol), before my mum and I went to Sarakiniko beach by the boat!
Postoje mesta koje morate obici kada ste u Pargi, a jedna od tih lokacija je Kastro, drugim recima Tvrdjava Parga! Ova venecijanska tvrdjava, koja tako ljupko svetli nocu, je sagradjena pocetkom 15-og veka. Nalazi se na vrhu Parge, na uzvisenju sa kog se pruza predivan pogled na citav gradic, plavu morsku pucinu i na plazu Valtos. Ova tvrdjava je bila prva "tipicno turisticka atrakcija" koju sam videla prvog dana (a bila sam ukupno dva dana u Pargi, haha), pre nego sto smo se mama i ja uputile brodicem ka plazi Sarakiniko!
