The last couple of years, a few vacation days were reserved for PAROS island, one of my favorite Greek islands. One
would think that after all this time there is no unexplored corner on
this island, but the truth is far from it... There's always something
new to see and experience, especially when you have only 4-5 days for exploring. Sometimes you're just bored to go here and there; sometimes you want to relax in
one place and spend your entire vacation on the specific beach; sometimes the company is so good that you forget everything (all this happened to us)...
Zadnjih par godina, nekoliko dana godišnjeg odmora je bilo rezervisano za PAROS ostrvo, meni uvek drago. Neko bi rekao da nakon toliko vremena ne postoji neistražen kutak na ovom ostrvu, ali istina je daleko od toga... Uvek postoji nešto novo da se vidi i iskusi, naročito kada imate samo 4-5 dana za istraživanje. Nekada vas i mrzi da obilazite, nekada hoćete da se opustite (bolje reći stacionirate) na jednom mestu i čitav odmor provedete na jednoj plaži, nekada je društvo toliko dobro da zaboravite na sve (sve se ovo nama desilo)...

moment to spare so we decided to go for a tour and discover some new locations. One day we even drove around the whole island, it was awesome. We went again to Mikri Santa beach and Faragas beach. We skipped Santa Maria beach because it was closed...
Elem ove godine se zadesilo da čitav odmor provedemo na Parosu te smo
imali koji slobodan trenutak za obilazak i otkrivanje nekih novih
lokacija. Jedan dan smo obišli i čitavo ostrvo u krug, bilo je sjajno. Ponovo smo bili
na Mikri Santa plaži i Faragas plaži. Preskočili smo Santa Maria plažu jer je
bila zatvorena...

for us was a place called Ambelas. Its small yet cute beach has a very nice beach club
restaurant "Aspro seaside restaurant", all in
white like the name says. A
little further, in south of the island, are Aliki beach and Piso Aliki beach, which I didn't like at all, they don't even remind me on Paros, completely
different vibe. But there were a lot of people, both tourists and the locals...
Novo za nas je bilo mesto Ambelas čija plaža ima vrlo
lep beach klub restoran "Aspro seaside restaurant", sav u belom kao što i
samo ime kaže. Nešto dalje, južnije na ostrvu, su Aliki plaža i Piso Aliki plaža koje
mi se uopšte nisu svidele, čak me ni ne podsećaju na Paros, potpuno
drugačija atmosfera. Ali ljudi je bilo, i turisti i lokalno
stanovništvo...
FARAGAS beach

beach is located near the main town Paroikia. One typically
organized beach, clean, quite ok, with several cafes and sunbeds... Next to it are Krios beach, and newly discovered gem- Martselo beach! Crystal
clear water (as everywhere in Paros), soft sand, beautiful view, silence
and peace (when we were there, lol, because during the peak season there's no peace)... There's this nice place called "Paradiso beach club & restaurant" which has its own part of beach with sunbeds and umbrellas...

ležaljkama... U nastavku su Krios plaža, i novootkriveni dragulj- Martselo plaža! Kristalno čista voda (kao i svuda na Parosu), mekan pesak, lep
pogled, tišina i mir (kad smo mi bili, haha, tokom glavne sezone ne postoji mir)... Tu je i "Paradiso beach club & restaurant" koji
ima i svoj deo plaže sa ležaljkama i suncobranima...

When I learned that this year we were going to spend again a few
days on Paros island, one of the things I wanted to see and do (one more time)- was to wander the streets of Naoussa village... In the
evening the tiny streets were crowded with tourists and locals, particularly
taverns and restaurants. There were a lot of French people, Italians, a bit of Germans and people from Scandinavian countries. But during the day, the most beautiful part of the seaside village is the old port! You may remember the pictures from the last summer? Even if you remember, even if you don't remember- this beauty must be seen again! I had that pleasure, and now I'd like to share with you at least one small part of this beauty!
Kada sam saznala da cemo i ove godine provesti par dana na Paros ostrvu, jedna od stvari koje sam zelela da ponovo vidim i radim jeste da lutam ulicicama sela Naoussa... Uvece su ulice bile krcate turistima i mestanima, narocito taverne i restorani. Bilo je tu puno Francuza, Italijana, ponesto Nemaca i ljudi iz Skandinavskih zemalja. Ali danju, najlepsi deo primorskog sela je stara luka! Mozda se secate slika od prosle godine? I ako se secate i ako se ne secate- ovu lepotu treba ponovo videti! Ja sam to zadovoljstvo imala, a nadam se da ovogodisnjim slikama mogu da vam docaram barem mali deo te lepote!
While we were on Paros, almost every day we went to Santa Maria beach, more specifically to "Santa Maria beach bar". I already wrote about this beach here (you can also see the video), but I wanted to share a couple of
new pictures, although little has changed since the last summer!:D Piperi beach was also one of the beaches I saw last year, but I did not know it was named like that (in Greek "piperi" means pepper). Naoussa village has two small beaches, Piperi is one of them, and it's about 5 minutes walk from the town...
Dok smo bili na Parosu, skoro svakog dana smo isli na Santa Maria plazu, preciznije bili smo redovni posetitelji "Santa Maria beach bar-a". O ovoj plazi sam vec pisala ovde (mozete pogledati i video), ali sam htela da podelim par novih slika iako se malo toga promenilo od proslog leta!:D Piperi plazu sam videla i prosle godine, ali nisam znala da se tako zove (inace na grckom "piperi" znaci biber). Grad Naoussa ima dve manje plaze, Piperi je jedna od njih, a udaljena je nekih 5 minuta setnje od samog gradica...
So here's a beach in Paros which we skipped to see last year! It's called Faragas beach and it's located in the south of the island. The beach is sandy and the water is clean and transparent, like everywhere in Paros (you can't make a mistake no matter which beach you choose on this island). As soon as we arrived, I just knew I would like "Faragas beach bar" 'cause they had comfy wooden sunbeds with soft white cushions! It was a perfect timing for this visit as they were closing the bar the next day!
Evo jedne plaze na Parosu koju smo zaobisli prosle godine! Zove se Faragas plaza i nalazi se na jugu ostrva. Plaza je pescana, a voda je cista i providna, kao i svuda na Parosu (koju god plazu da izaberete na ovom ostrvu- necete pogresiti!). Cim sam izasla iz kola, prosto sam znala da ce mi se svideti "Faragas beach bar" zato sto su imali udobne drvene lezaljke sa mekanim belim jastucima! Bio je savrsen trenutak za posetu jer su narednog dana zatvarali!
PAROS island definitely has amazing beaches! Golden and soft sand, beautiful and crystal clear waters. Paradise for the eyes! Konacno novi travel video za vas! Kao sto vecina vas zna, jedna od nasih poslednjih destinacija za godisnji odmor je bilo ostrvo Paros. Odseli smo u "Minois Village Hotel Suites & Spa" koji se nalazi u mestu Parasporos. Napisala sam nekoliko postova o ovom hotelu (sve linkove mozete pronaci u nastavku), ali sada sam pokazujem kraci video klip. Uzivajte, leto pocinje!
I know Christmas is in two days, New Year's Eve is next week, but I hate cold weather that inevitably comes with these beautiful celebrating days which I adore (contradictory I know!)! I miss summer, I miss warm sun, I miss sea, I miss that every winter! So if you've been following my blog for some time you know how I fight it (for years)- by posting summer photos on the blog! It definitely helps me, because these pictures make me happy! I once read that you can fight the winter blues and depression by using the blue light. And there's so much "blue" in these photos from Paros!
Znam da je (katolicki) Bozic za dva dana, Novogodisnja proslava sledece nedelje, ali ja mrzim hladno vreme koje neizbezno dolazi sa ovim predivnim slavljenickim danima koje zapravo obozavam (kontradiktorna misao, znam)! Nedostaje mi leto, nedostaje mi toplo sunce, nedostaje mi more, sve ovo mi nedostaje svake zime! Ako pratite moj blog duze vreme, znate kako se ja borim sa ovim (godinama)- postavljajuci letnje slike na blogu! To mi definitivno pomaze, jer me ove slike cine srecnom! Jednom sam procitala da mozete pobedite zimsku depresiju koristeci plavu svetlost. A toliko je "plavetnila" na ovim slikama sa Parosa!

For our stay in Paros we chose "Minois Village Hotel Suites & Spa", via booking.com while checking the offer for the accommodation on the entire island. This
hotel has 4 stars and is located on the phenomenal spot- right by
the sea in Parasporos, which is approximately 3km far from the main
port and capital Parikia. The hotel is pretty and attractive in terms of architecture and interior design, and the decoration itself matches really good with the
island's vibe. The most beautiful part, in my opinion, is fascinating and breathtaking sea view which you can see in the pictures bellow...
Za nas boravak na Parosu izabrali smo "Minois Village Hotel Suites & Spa", i to preko booking.com razgledajuci ponudu smestaja na citavom ostrvu. Ovaj hotel ima 4 zvezdice, i nalazi se na fenomenalnoj lokaciji- odmah pored mora u mestu Parasporos koje je udaljeno otprilike 3km od glavne luke i prestonice (Parikia). Hotel je vrlo lep i privlacan u smislu dizajna i enterijera, a sama dekoracija je u skladu sa ostrvskim ambijentom. Najlepsi deo po mom misljenju je pogled na more, fascinantan pogled koji prosto oduzima dah, sto mozete videti na slikama u nastavku...
The first time we visited the town of Naoussa in Paros (you could see it here and here), we
went to the old part of the port and in the walk noticed that after the row of small taverns, there is an exit that leads to the sea. You know that moment when you stop breathing 'cause of the beauty that is in front of you? Well exactly that happened to me! Rough
sea that was spreading all over the paved surface, the smell of salty water in the air, the sound of waves hitting the rocks... Ecstasy of all senses, for which it was worth to go back to the
same place for the second time (for this reason, and also because the first time my camera said: "please change the battery pack"!)!
Prvi put kada smo posetili gradic Naoussa na Parosu (a to ste mogli videti ovde i ovde), otisli smo do starog dela luke i u setnji primetili da nakon nacickanih tavernica postoji jedan izlaz koji vodi na more. Jel' znate onaj trenutak kada vam dah zastane od lepote koja se nalazi pred vama? E to je mene zadesilo! Nemirno more koje se razliva po poplocanoj povrsini, miris slane vode koja se rasprsuje u vazduhu, zvuk talasa koji se razbijaju od stene... Potpuna culna ekstaza, zbog koje je vredelo vratiti se na isto mesto po drugi put (zbog toga, ali i zato sto se baterija na fotoaparatu ispraznila prvog puta!)!
I always find the pool area to be one of the most fascinating and the most important parts when it comes to the contents/facilities of
hotels, especially those with four and five stars. At

Barem sto se mene tice, jer me hotelski bazeni (ukljucujuci i podrucje oko njih) neodoljivo privlace svojom lepotom i izgledom! On the third day on Paros island, after
Kolimbithres beach (read/see here), we also managed to go to a separate part of Santa Maria beach which locals call Mikri Santa. There are two beach bars, located one next to each other, and one of them is actually called Mikri Santa. The beach is small and so cute! Quiet, even though there were people. The sand is golden, the sea is clean and much calmer comparing to larger Santa Maria beach (about which I wrote here). You can reach this beach by a vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc), and then you have some 100m to walk...
Treceg dana na Parosu smo uspeli da, nakon Kolimbithres plaze (procitajte/pogledajte ovde), odemo i do odvojenog dela Santa Maria plaze koju lokalci zovu Mikri Santa. Postoje dva beach bara, smestena jedan do drugog, i jedan od njih se bas i zove Mikri Santa. Plaza je mala i slatka! Mirna, iako je bilo ljudi. Pesak je zlatne boje, more cisto i neuporedivo mirnije nego na vecoj Santa Maria plazi (o kojoj sam pisala ovde). Inace do ove plaze se dolazi vozilom (kolima, motorom i sl.), a onda pesacite nekih 100m...
On our third day on Paros island, we decided to first see Kolimbithres beach, which is located in the bay that directly
overlooks the town of Naoussa! I absolutely had to see this beach because I liked a lot some photos of it (btw in the pics it looks much bigger, but ok, lol). Yes it is impressive, thanks to the rocky formation, and cause of that we gave it a new name:
Small Meteora!:) There is one beach bar called "On the rocks" which has its own sun beds and umbrellas, so we can
say that Kolimbithres beach is an organized one...
Treceg dana na ostrvu Paros, odlucili smo da prvo vidimo Kolimbithres plazu, koja se nalazi u zalivu koji direktno gleda na Naoussa gradic! Morala sam da uzivo vidim ovu plazu jer mi se mnogo svidela na slikama (na kojima inace izgleda mnogo vece, ali ok, haha). Impresivna jeste, zahvaljujuci stenovitoj formaciji, zbog koje smo joj tog dana dali i novo ime: Mali Meteori!:) Postoji jedan beach bar koji se zove "On the rocks", koji ima svoje lezaljke i suncobrane tako da mozemo reci da je Kolimbithres plaza organizovana...
Here are pictures of our suite at "Minois Village Hotel Suites & Spa". Room number 03 is named "Superior First Floor Sea View Suite". It
consists of a bedroom, living room, small equipped kitchenette,
bathroom, and two verandas- one that looks at the sea and the hotel pool
and the other which is located at the entrance of the suite. The room is cute and very simply decorated. My favorite part is definitely the terrace overlooking the sea. Although I spent some precious morning moments on the sofa (while my love was sleeping), sipping coffee from a blue cup and reading the news from
the world...
Evo slika naseg apartmana u "Minois Village Hotel Suites & Spa". Soba broj 03 nosi naziv "Superior First Floor Sea View Suite". Sastoji se od spavace sobe, dnevne sobe, male opremljene kuhinjice, kupatila, i dve terase- jedna je sa pogledom na more i hotelski bazen a druga se nalazi na ulazu u apartman. Soba je slatka i vrlo jednostavno dekorisana. Moj omiljeni deo je definitivno terasa koja gleda na more. Mada su mi dragoceni i jutarnji trenuci koje sam provela na sofi (dok je moj dragi spavao), pijuckajuci kafu iz plave solje i citajuci novosti iz sveta...
