After several years of staying in the modern
boutique and resort hotels in destinations such as Santorini and
Mykonos, it seems to me that I have set up certain preferences regarding
the selection of hotels where I stay. Now I can easily
recognize which hotel would fit my personality or be able
to meet some of my specific needs and desires with its aesthetic appearance and content. One of them is definitely "Kassandra Bay Resort" in Skiathos...

Nakon nekoliko godina letovanja u modernim boutique i resort hotelima na destinacijama kao sto su Santorini i Mikonos, cini mi se da sam formirala odredjene preferencije sto se tice izbora hotela u kojima odsedam. Sada vrlo lako mogu da prepoznam koji bi recimo hotel prijao mom karakteru ili bio u mogucnosti da svojim estetskim izgledom i sadrzajem zadovolji neke moje specificne zelje i potrebe. Jedan od takvih je definitivno "Kassandra Bay Resort" na Skijatosu...
"Kassandra Bay Resort" je luksuzan hotel sa 5 zvezdica koji se nalazi na obali Vasilias plaze, nekih 5km udaljen od glavnog grada Skijatosa. Ima 120 soba i 7 apartmana, sopstvenu plazu, dva otvorena bazena sa slanom vodom i jedan bazencic za decu. Vise informacija mozete pronaci na njihovom sajtu!

Vasilias beach is one small and pleasant summer location, that offers intimate atmosphere. Its biggest part belongs to "Kassandra Bay" hotel, so it's mainly intended for the guests of this resort hotel. To
its left is the beach called Mikros Vasilias (meaning "little Vasilias")
which is again mostly used by the guests of another resort hotel "Golden King".
Vasilias beach is nicely organized, very clean and awarded with a blue flag. It is located exactly after Megali Ammos beach and some 5km from the town of Skiathos, so it's very easy to come here walking...
Vasilias plaza je jedna omanj i prijatna letnja lokacija, intimnijeg karaktera. Veci deo pripada "Kassandra Bay" hotelu te je uglavnom namenjena gostima upravo ovog resort hotela. U nastavku tj. s njene leve strane nalazi se plaza Mikros Vasilias (u prevodu "mali Vasilias") koju opet najvise koriste gosti jos jednog luksuznog resort hotela "Golden King".
Vasilias plaza je fino organizovana, izuzetno cista i nagradjena plavom zastavicom. Nalazi se odmah nakon Megali Ammos plaze i nekih 5km od grada Skijatosa, te se do nje moze doci i peske...
Translated from the Greek language, Megali Ammos means "big sand" which is quite a suitable name for this long sandy beach that is only 2-3km far from the capital of Skiathos. Therefore we can say it's the most popular among the locals...
Well organized and packed with sun beds (and tourists) in the initial part, where is also a school for the water sports. The
second part is quite isolated with the smaller number of sun beds, but equally
beautiful- in this part you can definitely find your peace! Extremely soft sand and crystal clear water are the reasons why people return again and again to this beach!
Coastal part provides an exceptional offer of the hotel and apartment accommodation. There are also several taverns and restaurants, plus a couple of supermarkets nearby. In
my opinion Megali Ammos region is the best location for staying in
Skiathos: it has its own beach, the city is only 10 minutes walk away,
and all the other beaches are available whether you use the bus or your
own transportation (taxi, rent-a-car, motorbikes, etc.)!
U prevodu sa grckog jezika, Megali Ammos znaci "veliki pesak" sto je sasvim pogodno ime za ovu dugu pescanu plazu koja je udaljena svega 2-3km od glavnog grada Skijatosa. Samim tim je i mozemo reci najpopularnija medju lokalnim stanovnistvom...
Odlicno organizovana i krcata lezaljkama (i turistima) u pocetnom delu, gde se nalazi i skola za sportove na vodi. U drugom delu je poprilicno izolovana sa manjim brojem lezaljki, ali podjednako lepa- u ovom delu definitivno mozete pronaci svoj mir! Izuzetno mek pesak i kristalno cista voda su razlog zasto se ljudi iznova vracaju na ovu plazu!
Obalski deo pruza izuzetnu ponudu hotelskog i apartmanskog smestaja. Tu se nalazi i nekoliko taverni i restorana, plus dva-tri super marketa u blizini. Po mom misljenju Megali Ammos regija je najbolja lokacija za smestaj na Skijatosu: ima svoju plazu, grad je udaljen svega 10min hoda, a sve ostale plaze su dostupne bilo da koristite autobuski ili sopstveni prevoz (taxi, rent-a-car, motori i sl.)!
We could freely say this is a bronzer that I used the most over the past year! Unlike everything else in my make-up collection, which contains (more or less) some shimmering/reflective particles, W7 "Honolulu" bronzing powder is completely matte and super convenient for both the day and the night! I apply it below the cheek bones, and for the purposes of contouring and shading on the other parts of the face: forehead, nose, neck... The bronzer's
shade is a bit darker so I recommend it for the ladies with medium and dark
complexion!
Bice da je ovo bronzer koji sam najvise koristila u poslednjih godinu dana! Za razliku od svih ostalih u mojoj make-up kolekciji koji imaju manje-vise svetlucave/reflektujuce cestice, W7 "Honolulu" bronzer je potpuno mat te super pogodan kako za dan tako i za vece! Ja ga nanosim ispod jagodicne kosti, a za potrebe konturiranja i sencenja i na druge delove lica: celo, nos, vrat... Nijansa ovog bronzera je tamnija, te ga preporucujem damama sa srednje tamnim i tamnim tenom!
In Kanapitsa bay there are three beaches. The first and the closest one is Nostos beach, where is also located one of the two biggest diving schools called "Dolphin Diving Center". Nicely organized beach with sunbeds, on which tourists and locals often come to enjoy the specialties of the nearby tavern.
Tucked away and surrounded by greenery, Kanapitsa beach lies on the other side of the cape. Reaching it requires a little more than a 10 min walk (uphill) from the bus station, or even easier if you rent a taxi. Hidden among the trees from the curious eyes of tourists, in this area you can find a
couple of hotels and villas, and another well-known tavern. The beach is somewhat narrower and finely organized, the water is crystal clear, the sand has golden color...
U Kanapitsa zalivu postoje tri plaze. Prva i najbliza je Nostos plaza, gde se nalazi jedna od dve najvece skole za ronjenje pod nazivom "Dolphin diving center". Uredjena plaza sa lezaljkama, na koju turisti i lokalci cesto svracaju i da bi uzivali u specijalitetima obliznje taverne.
Ususkana i okruzena zelenilom, Kanapitsa plaza lezi sa druge strane rta. Da bi se doslo do nje potrebno je malo vise od 10min hoda (uzbrdo) od autobuske stanice, ili jos lakse ako iznajmite taxi. Skriveni medju drvecem od radoznalih pogleda turista, u ovom podrucju se nalazi par hotela i vila, i jos jedna dobro poznata taverna na samoj obali. Plaza je nesto uza i lepo uredjena, voda kristalno cista, pesak zlatne boje...
Troulos beach is, for me, one of the most pleasant beaches of Skiathos. The soft, golden colored sand into which you simply immerse as you walk along the coast. During that walk it often happens that some friendly seagull joins you. There are enough sunbeds, and if you want the peace then- book in your hands and find the escape in the rich shadow of the nearby trees.
Although we came there by the boat, Troulos beach is certainly reachable by the local bus or car. Not very far there are hotel, tavern, restaurant and several bars... Yet for complete enjoyment it needs more than an hour and a half which is the exact amount of time we had that day...
Troulos plaza je, za mene, jedna od najprijatnijih plaza Skijatosa. Mekani, zlatno obojeni pesak u koji prosto uranjate dok setate obalom. Cesto se desava da vam se u setnji pridruzi i poneki druzeljubivi galeb. Lezaljki za najam sasvim dovoljno, a ako zelite mir- onda knjigu u ruke pa beg pronadjite u senci obliznjeg drveca.
Iako smo mi do Troulos plaze stigli brodicem, do nje se svakako moze doci i lokalnim autobusom ili kolima. U blizini se nalaze hotel, taverna, restoran i nekoliko kafica... Ali za potpuno uzivanje je potrebno vise od sat i po vremena koliko smo mi tog dana imali na raspolaganju...
